Dr. Ruwan Haputhantrige is a consultant psychiatrist with a special interest in Alcohol use disorder, Adult Attention Deficit Disorder, Anxiety Disorder and treatment resistant Depressive Disorder.
After graduating MBBS from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2000 and undertaking further professional training, he was admitted to the degree of Doctor of Medicine (Psychiatry) in 2004. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and a member of The American Psychiatric Association.
Ruwan also accepts referrals for patients who require a management plan and is keen to work with general practitioners to provide further reviews as needed, providing expertise in 291 and 293 assessments.

When Ruwan isn’t helping patients he enjoys taking scenic drives and taking pictures along the way! He also enjoys spending time with his family and entertaining them with his musical skills on his organ.
